What does Cold Wind System do?

It homogenizes the temperature inside reefer containers transporting perishable goods by sea on journeys exceeding 15 days.

When should Cold Wind System technology be used?

Use it for maritime shipments lasting over 15 days where fruit transported in reefer containers arrives at its destination with signs of overripening and short shelf-life. This situation often leads to customer complaints and economic losses due to penalties for delivering products unsuitable for consumption.

Which perishable products can use this technology?

Any perishable goods transported by sea in a reefer container (whether in a conventional, modified, or controlled atmosphere).
These include climacteric products (avocado, plum, peach, mango, apple, melon, papaya, pear, watermelon, tomato, sapodilla) and non-climacteric products (blueberry, broccoli, cherry, raspberry, strawberry, lettuce, lychee, lime, lemon, mandarin, orange, cucumber, pineapple, grapefruit, grape, carrot). Meat and fruit juices can also benefit from the Cold Wind System technology.

Does Cold Wind System technology replace the refrigeration system of a container?

Cold Wind System does not replace the controlled atmosphere systems in reefer containers for perishable goods. It also does not replace conventional or modified atmosphere systems.

What can I expect from CWS?

You can expect perishable goods transported in reefer containers on sea journeys exceeding 15 days to arrive in perfect condition at their destination, with ideal preservation ensuring a long shelf-life.

How will I know Cold Wind System worked?

Because the product will arrive at its destination in perfect condition, with zero complaints about overripening.
