What does Cold Wind System do?

It homogenizes the temperature inside the refrigerated container, which transports perishable products, by sea, on journeys longer than 15 days.

When to use Cold Wind System technology?

When, on journeys longer than 15 days, the fruit that is transported in a refrigerated container by sea arrives at its destination with signs of overripeness and short shelf life; situation that involves claims by the customer at destination and economic losses, as a result of the penalty made for the product in conditions not conducive to consumption

What perishable products can use this technology?

Any perishable product transported by sea in a refrigerated container, whether in a conventional atmosphere, modified atmosphere, or controlled atmosphere, can be included. These can be climacteric products (avocado, plum, peach, mango, apple, melon, papaya, pear, watermelon, tomato, sapote) and non-climacteric products (blueberries, broccoli, cherry, raspberry, strawberry, lettuce, lychee, lime, lemon, tangerine, orange, cucumber, pineapple, grapefruit, grape, carrot). They may also utilize Cold Wind System technology for products such as meat and fruit juices.

Does Cold Wind System technology replace the refrigeration system of a container?

Cold Wind System does not replace the controlled atmosphere of refrigerated containers that transport perishable products. Neither does it replace the conventional atmosphere, nor the modified atmosphere of refrigerated containers.

What should I expect from CWS?

That perishable products that are transported in a refrigerated container by sea on journeys longer than 15 days arrive in perfect condition at their destination, with perfect hibernation, which guarantees a long shelf life.

How will I know that Cold Wind System technology really worked?
